Frequently Asked Questions
Can Codifier transcribe characters other than letters?
Yes, Codifier also transcribes numbers, punctuation marks, currency symbols, and emojis. You can enable or disable each character type in Settings.
Why aren’t punctuation marks or spaces showing in my transcription?
By default, only letters and numbers are transcribed. You can enable punctuation, currency symbols, and spaces in Settings under Transcription.
Does Codifier transcribe emojis?
Yes, but emoji transcriptions are only available in English and cannot be saved to favorites.
Is there a character limit for transcriptions?
Yes, you can transcribe up to 160 characters at a time.
Where are my favorites stored?
Favorites are stored locally on your device and not shared with any server.
How many transcriptions can be saved to favorites?
You can save up to 10 favorites.
How can I edit my favorites?
It is not yet possible to edit exisiting favorites. But you can copy any saved favorites and paste them into the transcription editor to make changes.
How can I hear how codewords are pronounced?
Tap the speaker icon next to any codeword in the Alphabets section to hear its pronunciation.
Can I share my transcriptions?
Yes, you can use the share button to share transcriptions via text or email.
Does Codifier require internet access?
No, Codifier works completely offline. Internet access is only needed for app updates through the App Store.

Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing problems, try the following steps:
- Update app to the latest version.
- Restart your device and try again.
- Check your storage and clear space if necessary.
Privacy and Data Security
Codifier does not track or store your data on remote servers. All transcriptions remain on your device for your privacy.
